What are the types of performance measurement systems?
Q. I am actually doing a college level assignment, but I really don't understand this instructor's assignment! He is asking that we obtain a performance appraisal document. Then, we are to use that document and determine what type of performance appraisal it is...but what types are there and where can I find information about the types? Our textbook says nothing about types! Help! Thanks!

What types of investments are most suitable for different types of retirement accounts?
Q. Does it make sense to hold different investment types - stock, mutual funds, treasury bonds, etc. - in different types of retirement accounts, when it comes to tax implications? For example, would should one hold in a Roth IRA? In a traditional IRA? In a 401(k)? Thanks! I understand diversification. My question is different. Once I decided how to diversify (income, value, growth, CDs, etc), is there a specific way to distribute the investment between the different instruments (Roth, traditional, etc) so as to minimize the tax implications? For example, Roth IRAs gains are not taxed at distribution time. Traditional IRAs are taxed.

A. The others are right in that proper diversification, etc., are more important than where you put what in which retirement vehicle. However, to answer your specific question...let's assume you are many years away from retirement and have a diversified portfolio of relatively conservative investments and relatively aggressive investments. The traditional IRA and the 401k are going to tax you on everything--principal and gains--at your regular income tax rate when you finally make withdrawals. Therefore, I might try to put my more conservative investments in those, if possible. The assumption is that the conservative investments will end up with smaller gains than the more aggressive investments, so there will be less gain to be taxed on.… [cont.]

Q. What types of Yoga would be good for soccer? I know there are different types but am not entirely sure which to try that would best suited for physical fitness for soccer performance. Thanks in advance.
Asked by ryansoccer21m - Mon Jan 28 19:52:34 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. I would think you'd want a yoga style that contributes to your stamina/endurance. If that sounds correct, look for instruction that bills itself as either Power yoga, Ashtanga yoga, or at minimum, Vinyasa yoga. If your gym/fitness center offers a yoga class, it's likely some sort of Power yoga. Ashtanga yoga is a more regimented form of Power yoga. You may want to save trying that until you decide if you're really interested in yoga. Your last choices would probably be styles such as Iyengar, Anusara, Restorative, Kundalini, plus others I'm leaving out. Good luck, dwb

I suggest looking at "barques", "brigs", "brigantines" and "sloops" for the American colonial period which I interpret as primarily the 1700s after the age of cogs, caravels and carracks - Columbus type ships from the 1500s. Good Luck.

Q. I am currently working as an Administrative CSR at an insurance brokerage firm. My job is extremely tedious and monotonous. I am often bored to tears. What are types of jobs that involves something like training or coaching or, even event planning, as the job responsibilities? What type of requirements are applied with these positions? Thanks in advance!
Asked by Jiggle.Ba.Diggle - Sun Apr 15 13:52:25 2007 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. 99.9% of all jobs involve some kind of human contact, even the one you are in now. [The only one that I can think of that is devoid of human contact is lighthouse keeper.] So, you are asking the wrong question. What you should be asking is, "What are my interests, training and skills?" Only you can answer that. If you are a college graduate, perhaps your old college has a career councilor. If not, then I suggest that you find a private councilor who can help you find where your future lies.
