How can i remove my acrylic nails with my natural nails with a mighty bond on it?
Q. I had a nail extension using artificial acrylic nails last saturday. I was not happy with the nail glue their using coz my nails always take-off easily. I decided to use a mighty bond thinking it will give me satisfaction of having no-galling-nails. But I suddenly realized that this mighty bond is not easy to remove. I was now panic on how can i remove my artificial nails with this mighty glue on my natural nails. Please help me.

A. Go to Sally's beauty supply or your local supply store and purchase acrylic remover. You can also purchase pure acetone. Be sure to use a glass bowl. Soak 4 fingers at a time. Get an orangewood stick to so you can scrap the acrylic when it gets gummy. It will be messy but it won't take to long. Once you get down to your own nail, take a white buffing block and gently buff off the remaining residue. Apply a clear nail hardener. I've tried the soaking with the cotton balls but its takes longer and I don't like the idea of it being wrapped under foil. The acetone needs to breath because the vapors can be toxic if there isn't enough ventilation.

How badly to Acrylic nails damage your real nail?
Q. For my 15 pictures (like the ones with the pretty background and the really nice dress), my mom wants me to put on acrylic nails. Short ones, with a little french tip. How much do they damage your nails on the first time?

A. Acrylic nails; A lot of people i know say that they damage your nails. They dont know what they are talking about. I always have them on. I know from experiance... that IF you get them taken of professionally... they might thin out your nail... dont peel them off yourself! that is not good to do. Simply after you dont want them anymore, you let them grow out and file them down and paint over them or file them of your self and apply strenghtener daily.

what is the quickest way to remove acrylic nails?
Q. I am ready to remove my acrylic nails because my own nails have grown out to a good lenght. I don't want to damage my nails in the process because I want them to maintain the lenght. What is the quickest or easiest way to remove the nails? Does any one suggest an acrylic overlay or silk wrap, or another alternative after I remove the nails? Thanks

A. The best way so as not to damage the nails is too get them soaked off with acetone. You should always have a manicure straight after and this will help maintain the nails. Your nails will be slightly weaker after having acrylics but with regular manicures they will be strong again. Try Gel nails as these are better for the natural nails
