Textile refers to any material made of interlacing fibres. Fabric refers to any material made through weaving, knitting, spreading, crocheting, or bonding. Q. My husband left his top down during a rain storm one night. The top now has green spots all over it. I am guessing this is mold. How would I get it out of the top without messing the fabric more then it already is. The top is black so I don't want to use bleach. Any advice will be helpfull. Thank you! Since bleach is not an option in this case I would recommend trying good ole' fashion soap and water, or possibly laundry detergent, obviously one without bleach. When you do this make sure the area has good air flow so none of the dead mold spores remain in the car, as I'm sure neither you nor your husband want him to be constantly breathing them in. Start by giving it a good scrub and then make sure you do a good job on the drying process as well. Since this was kind of a one time mistake sort of thing you wont have to worry about the mold re-appearing. If you have any other questions feel free to ask, but I'm confident this will work.
